There were beautiful horses at the winery we stopped at in Montalcino. Naomi is getting the courage up to pet the horse. It turns out that horses were pretty easy to pet, but we didn't know that until some horse people came over to show us.

Here I am feeding the horse. We found out later that this isn't
how you feed horses, you are supposed to leave the food on your
open palm. I chickened out anyway, so it didn't really matter.
This is Dave, another student on the UC program, actually feeding
the horse. He was the one telling us about horses.
